We are looking for Machine Learning experts to join our team in the area of Natural Language Processing. This position will work closely with the CTO to oversee Machine Learning to build out deep learning architecture, train new models and work with existing models. This will begin as a hands-on position with the intention over time to grow into a Senior Applied Scientist Management role.

Key Requirements:

  • Expert level experience in natural language processing models, techniques and methods;
  • Expert level experience at the utterance to conversational levels for automatic sound recognition models;
  • Experience with deep learning, convolutional networks, and their architectures;
  • Advanced experience in Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and different cloud provider premade models and tools;
  • Intermediate to expert level experience with large language models;
  • Familiarity with new multimodal methods or willingness to learn both independently and through formal training;
  • Experience in building models, including algorithims, from scratch;
  • Experience overseeing teams, creating reasonable work plan, setting project milestons and expectations for deliverables;
  • Ability to manage team members empathetically while maintaining ambitious work deliverables;

We are looking for a member with experience developing Organizational Partnships to join our team. This will initially be a hybrid position partnership development (65%) and grant identification and applications (35%). Duties will include contacting community stakeholders in research bodies, schools, governments, etc. to develop relationships as well as seeking out and applying for new grants. Over time the intention is to grow from this initial position to oversee a development team.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience with developing partnerships, preferably with governments, schools, universities or organizations, for long term and/or short term projects;
  • Experience interfacing with community stakeholders to develop action plans that better local community members;
  • Experience identifying appropriate grants, maintaining a database, organizing a schedule of applications and crafting preliminary draft versions;
  • Co-ordinate media campaigns with stakeholders, grant makers, sponsorship providers, and the marketing department to increase cross-promotional and social impact awareness;
  • Ability to manage team members empathetically while maintaining ambitious work deliverables;
  • Minimal technical competencies including Google Drive, etc with a bonus for experience with databases, SQL or .php;
  • Oversee and train marketing interns for best industry practices to ensure they learn from working with us;
  • Openness to continually learn about social impact and emerging technologies.

This position will be to help create, launch and oversee branding media campaigns to raise public awareness of the organizational work, social problem and connect more deeply with affected local community stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

Co-create (with founders and the development team) overall branding message and ensure all media campaigns align with the overall goals and mission of our projects.

  • Develop and launch (working with the founders) media campaigns across news, print, online and social media channels;
  • Familiarity with current social impact media campaigns;
  • Help with post-research study dissemination results;
  • Co-ordinate media campaigns with the development department that oversees partnerships with stakeholders, grant makers, sponsorship providers, etc., to increase cross-promotional and social impact awareness;

  • Ability to manage team members empathetically while maintaining ambitious work deliverables;
